The Mueller Streamline ACP10141 is a 1/4" OD push x push coupling that splices two runs of copper refrigerant tubing with no torch, solder, or crimp tool. It is made in the USA and backed by a 10-year limited warranty, and it pairs a one-piece forged brass body with a stainless steel BackBite™ grip ring and dual factory-installed HNBR O-rings. Rated for 700 PSI continuous operation and approved for R-410A, R-454B, R-32, and more than 30 other refrigerants, it gives HVAC technicians and ductless mini split installers a fast, permanent way to join small-diameter liquid lines in attics, closets, and finished spaces where open flame is a problem.
Is a 1/4" Push Fitting Coupling the Right Size?
The ACP10141 fits copper tube with an actual outside diameter of 1/4". In residential HVAC, that size most often shows up as the liquid line on ductless mini splits and smaller split systems. ACR refrigerant tubing is sold by its outside diameter, so a 1/4" ACR or soft-copper line set inserts directly into this coupling with no reducers or adapters.
Beyond diameter, check the condition and layout of the tubing. Mueller requires the sealing area to be round, deburred, and free of scratches, dents, or incise marks, and each tube end needs a full 1" of insertion depth. Plan joint spacing too: allow at least 1/4" between two push connections and at least 3" from an existing brazed joint, and keep the coupling well clear of any later brazing on the same line.
Ideal for: 1/4" mini split liquid line splices, short line set extensions, repairs to rubbed-through or kinked small-diameter tubing, and service work inside occupied homes where hot work is undesirable.

What tubing does the ACP10141 coupling connect?
The ACP10141 joins 1/4" OD copper tube, including ASTM B280 and ASTM B88 hard-drawn tube (Types ACR, K, and L) and ASTM B280 and ASTM B1003 soft annealed tube, so it works on both straight lengths and coiled line sets.
How far does 1/4" tubing insert into the ACP10141?
Mueller specifies an insertion depth of 1 inch for 1/4" tube. Mark the tube at 1", then push with a slight rotation until the mark reaches the fitting and the tube contacts the internal stop.
Is the ACP10141 approved for R-454B and R-32 systems?

Can I install the ACP10141 on an older R-22 system?
