Mueller Streamline 1/4" OD Refrigerant Push x SAE Flare Adapter, American Made, ACP15725

The Mueller Streamline ACP15725 connects 1/4" OD copper tubing to a flare fitting without a flaring tool, torch, or crimper. One end is a push connection with a stainless steel BackBite™ grip ring and dual HNBR O-rings; the other is a flare connection whose nut Mueller makes to SAE standards and to JIS B 8607, suitable for mini split and VRF/VRV equipment. It is made in the USA, backed by a 10-year limited warranty, and rated for 700 PSI on R-410A, R-32, R-454B, and other approved refrigerants. Ductless installers and service technicians use it to land 1/4" liquid lines on service valves and indoor-unit flare connections.

Is a 1/4" Push Fitting Flare Adapter the Right Size?

The ACP15725 is sized for 1/4" OD copper on the push side and a 1/4" flare connection on the other. On ductless mini splits, 1/4" is the most common liquid line size, so this adapter usually goes at the outdoor unit's liquid service valve or at the indoor head's liquid line connection.

Push side first: cut the tube square, deburr, clean, inspect, and mark a 1" insertion depth before seating the adapter. On the flare side, put a small amount of refrigerant oil on the flare face and tighten to Mueller's 1/4" range of 10–13 ft-lbs (14–18 N-m). Mueller warns not to overtighten, so use a torque wrench instead of guessing.

Ideal for: 1/4" mini split liquid line connections at service valves and indoor heads, replacing a cracked or leaking field flare, and adapting a cut-down line set back to a flare port without a flaring tool.

Need a larger line size? Step up to the Mueller Streamline 3/8" Push Fitting Flare Adapter, ACP15726 for 3/8" flare connections.

Line size suggestions are general guidelines only. Always confirm actual tube OD and flare port size, follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions, and install per Mueller Streamline instructions and local codes. Request free sizing assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ACP15725 flare adapter connect?

It joins 1/4" OD copper tube (push end) to a 1/4" flare connection (flare end), such as a mini split liquid service valve or an indoor unit's flare connection.

How tight should the ACP15725 flare nut be torqued?

Mueller specifies 10–13 ft-lbs (14–18 N-m) for the 1/4" size and warns not to overtighten. A small amount of refrigerant oil on the flare face helps the connection seat.

Do I need a flaring tool to use the ACP15725?

No. The adapter replaces a field-made flare. You prepare the tube end and push it into the adapter, then tighten the factory flare connection to the equipment.

Will the ACP15725 work with JIS flare connections on imported mini splits?

Mueller states the flare nut is made to SAE standards in the US as well as JIS B 8607, and is suitable for connecting to mini split and VRV/VRF equipment. Confirm the flare port size on the unit before installing.

Is the ACP15725 manufactured in the USA, and is there a warranty?

Yes. The ACP15725 is made in the USA and is covered by Mueller Streamline's 10-year limited warranty.

How far does 1/4" tubing insert into the push end of the ACP15725?

Insert the tube 1 inch. Mark the depth on the tube, then push with a slight rotation until the mark reaches the fitting and the tube contacts the stop.
