Mueller Streamline 3/8" OD Refrigerant Push Fitting Coupling, American Made, ACP10143
For the 3/8" liquid line that runs between nearly every residential condenser and air handler, the Mueller Streamline ACP10143 push coupling turns a brazed repair into a cut-deburr-push job. This American-made fitting carries a 10-year limited warranty, seals with two factory-installed HNBR O-rings, and locks onto copper with Mueller's stainless steel BackBite™ grip ring. It is rated for 700 PSI continuous pressure and a 200-micron vacuum, making it a dependable choice for residential service technicians, replacement installers, and maintenance crews working on R-410A and A2L heat pumps and air conditioners.
Is a 3/8" Push Fitting Coupling the Right Size?
The ACP10143 accepts 3/8" OD copper tube, the liquid line size used on a large share of residential split air conditioners, heat pumps, and many mini split line sets. If you are replacing a damaged section of a 3/8" liquid line, extending a line set during a system changeout, or splicing in a new filter drier location, this is the coupling to reach for.
Confirm size with a tube gauge or calipers rather than guessing from the service valve. The tube should be round and undamaged where it seats, cut square with a wheel-type cutter, and deburred inside and out, with room for a full 1" insertion on each side. Keep at least 3" between the coupling and any existing brazed joint, and remember the joint is permanent — it cannot be pulled off and reused.
Ideal for: 3/8" residential liquid line repairs, line set extensions during equipment replacement, and liquid line service where a torch would be risky near insulation, framing, or finished ceilings.
Need a larger line size? Step up to the Mueller Streamline 1/2" Push Fitting Coupling, ACP10144 for 1/2" mini split suction lines and larger liquid line runs.
Line size suggestions are general guidelines only. Always confirm actual tube OD, follow the equipment manufacturer's line sizing, and install per Mueller Streamline instructions and local codes. Request free sizing assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

The ACP10143 arrives fully assembled: grip ring and dual O-rings are installed at the Mueller factory, so the only field work is tube preparation. That consistency is a big part of why it is rated to hold both 700 PSI on the high side and a deep 200-micron vacuum during evacuation. Pair it with our charging, evacuation and recovery tools to finish the repair.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the 3/8" ACP10143 compare with the 1/4" ACP10141?
Both share the same 700 PSI rating, 1" insertion depth, and approved refrigerant list. The ACP10143 simply fits 3/8" OD tube, the more common liquid line size on residential split systems, while the ACP10141 serves smaller 1/4" lines.
Do I need a crimp tool or torch to install the ACP10143?
No. The ACP10143 uses Mueller's patented push-fit design. After cutting, deburring, cleaning, and marking the tube, you push the fitting on by hand until the tube bottoms out on the stop.
What pressure is the ACP10143 rated to hold?
It is rated for 700 PSI / 48 BAR continuous operating pressure, with a burst pressure greater than three times that figure (2100 PSI), suitable for high-pressure refrigerants like R-410A.
Will the ACP10143 hold a deep vacuum during evacuation?
Yes. Mueller rates the Streamline push fittings for vacuum down to 200 microns, so the joint can be evacuated along with the rest of the system before charging.
Which compressor oils are compatible with this 3/8" coupling?
The HNBR seals are approved for mineral oil, POE, PVE, PAO, PAG, and AB (alkylbenzene) oils, covering the lubricants used with today's HFC, HFO, and A2L refrigerants.
Can the ACP10143 be removed and reused?
No. The joint is permanent and non-removable. If a connection ever leaks, Mueller instructs that the fitting be cut out and replaced, and the tube surface inspected before a new fitting is installed.
