Mueller Streamline 1/2" OD Refrigerant Push Fitting 90° Long Radius Elbow, American Made, ACP02717
Ductless installs live and die by clean line routing, and the Mueller Streamline ACP02717 gives 1/2" OD copper a crisp, code-listed 90° turn without hot work. This long radius push elbow is made in the USA, covered by a 10-year limited warranty, UL 207 Listed, and certified to the IMC, IRC, and UMC under ICC-ES PMG-1625. Each end seals with dual HNBR O-rings and locks with a stainless steel BackBite™ grip ring, giving mini split and VRF installers, multifamily retrofit crews, and service technicians a 700 PSI joint they can make in an occupied building without a hot work permit.
Is a 1/2" Push Fitting 90° Elbow the Right Size?
The ACP02717 fits 1/2" OD copper. On ductless systems, 1/2" is a common suction (vapor) line size on mid-capacity heads, and it also appears on longer or higher-capacity liquid line runs. Typical uses include the turn behind an indoor head, the drop at an exterior wall, and routing inside line hide covers.
The 1/2" size requires 1-1/8" of insertion at each end, so leave enough straight tube before and after the turn. Pre-insulated line sets should be stripped back far enough to expose clean, undamaged copper, then re-insulated after testing. Soft copper that has been bent, clamped, or flattened near the cut should be rerounded or cut back to good tube before the elbow goes on.
Ideal for: 1/2" mini split vapor line turns at indoor heads and wall penetrations, line hide routing, VRF branch work, and inspected multifamily or commercial jobs that call for listed flame-free fittings.
Need a larger line size? Step up to the Mueller Streamline 5/8" Push Fitting 90 Elbow, ACP02722 for 5/8" suction and vapor lines.
Line size suggestions are general guidelines only. Always confirm actual tube OD, follow the equipment manufacturer's line sizing, and install per Mueller Streamline instructions and local codes. Request free sizing assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is a 1/2" push elbow most useful on a ductless install?
The ACP02717 is handy for the vapor line turn right behind an indoor head, the drop where the line set exits the wall, and corners inside line hide covers, all places where bending soft copper cleanly is difficult.
What changes going from the 3/8" ACP02716 elbow to the 1/2" ACP02717?
The ACP02717 fits larger 1/2" OD tube and needs a deeper 1-1/8" insertion at each end, compared with 1" on the 3/8" elbow. Ratings and approvals are the same.
Is the ACP02717 approved under the mechanical codes?
Yes. It is certified to the International Mechanical Code, International Residential Code, and Uniform Mechanical Code through ICC-ES PMG-1625, and it is UL 207 Listed for the United States and Canada.
Can the ACP02717 connect directly to a mini split flare port?
No. The ACP02717 has push connections on both ends. To connect to a flare service valve, add the ACP15727 1/2" push flare adapter, which uses an SAE flare nut.
Can the system be evacuated with the ACP02717 installed?
Yes. Mueller rates the Streamline push fittings for a vacuum of 200 microns. See our charging, evacuation and recovery tools for vacuum pumps and gauges.
What instructions are packaged with the ACP02717?
Six installation steps are printed on every bag: cut, deburr, clean, inspect, mark the insertion depth, and push to the stop. The complete instructions are in the submittal under Specifications & Manuals.
