Mueller Streamline 3/8" OD Refrigerant Push Fitting 90° Long Radius Elbow, American Made, ACP02716
Turning a 3/8" liquid line around a joist, through a wall, or up to an air handler usually means a bender, a torch, and a fire extinguisher close by. The Mueller Streamline ACP02716 replaces all three with a 90° long radius push elbow that seats by hand on 3/8" OD copper. This American-made fitting carries a 10-year limited warranty, is UL 207 Listed, and is rated for 700 PSI continuous pressure and a 200-micron vacuum on R-410A, R-454B, R-32, and other approved refrigerants — a practical fit for residential replacement crews, service technicians, and remodel contractors.
Is a 3/8" Push Fitting 90° Elbow the Right Size?
The ACP02716 accepts 3/8" OD copper tube, the liquid line size on most residential split air conditioners and heat pumps and on many mini split line sets. Use it wherever a 3/8" line has to change direction: at the air handler stub, a wall sleeve, a crawlspace drop, or around an obstruction during a system changeout.
Measure the tube OD to confirm size, and check that the line is round where it will seat. Cut square with a wheel-type cutter, deburr inside and out, and allow 1" of insertion depth at each end of the elbow. If a filter drier or other brazed component is going in nearby, braze it first and let it cool; the push joint should sit at least 3" from an existing brazed connection.
Ideal for: 3/8" residential liquid line turns at air handlers and wall penetrations, line set rerouting during equipment replacement, and tight attic or closet work where a torch is unwelcome.
Need a larger line size? Step up to the Mueller Streamline 1/2" Push Fitting 90 Elbow, ACP02717 for 1/2" mini split vapor lines and larger liquid lines.
Line size suggestions are general guidelines only. Always confirm actual tube OD, follow the equipment manufacturer's line sizing, and install per Mueller Streamline instructions and local codes. Request free sizing assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the 3/8" ACP02716 elbow compare with the 1/4" ACP02715?
Both use a 1" insertion depth and carry the same 700 PSI rating and refrigerant approvals. The ACP02716 fits 3/8" OD tube, the standard liquid line on most residential split systems, while the ACP02715 serves 1/4" lines.
Do I need a tube bender or torch to make a 90° turn with the ACP02716?
No. After the tube is cut, deburred, cleaned, inspected, and marked, each end of the ACP02716 pushes on by hand. No bender, torch, solder, or crimp tool is needed.
Is the ACP02716 rated for A2L refrigerants like R-454B?
Yes. R-454B and R-32 are both on Mueller's approved refrigerant list, along with other A2L refrigerants such as R-454A, R-454C, R-452B, and R-1234yf.
How do I protect the ACP02716 if I need to braze a drier nearby?
Braze before installing the elbow whenever possible. If the elbow is already in place, Mueller calls for at least 5" of separation with a cold wet wrap, or 10" unprotected, for 3/8" tube. Heat-barrier spray, gel, or putty can also be used.
What tubing standards does the ACP02716 require?
Tubing must meet ASTM B280, ASTM B88 (Types ACR, K, L), or ASTM B1003. The tube ends must be deburred inside and out, and the sealing area must be free of irregularities.
Is the ACP02716 permanent once it is installed?
Yes. Streamline push fittings are non-removable. If a joint needs to be redone, the elbow is cut out and replaced with a new fitting after inspecting the tube.
