Mini Split R-32 Recharge Kit — 28.2 oz One-Step Can with Gauge, Hose & 5/16″-to-1/4″ Service Port Adapter
This is the R-32 kit built for ductless work. It pairs a 28.2 oz (1.8 lb) disposable can of low-GWP A2L refrigerant with a reusable gauge, a 1/4″ charging hose, and the 5/16″ female to 1/4″ male service port adapter that ductless mini splits require. Without that adapter, a standard 1/4″ hose won't thread onto a mini split's service port. With it, you can recharge an R-32 ductless heat pump or air conditioner on the first visit. Working on a ducted system? The 1/4″ R-32 can with gauge and hose skips the adapter.
Is This Mini Split Kit the Right Fit?
R-32 has become a common refrigerant in ductless equipment, including R-32 mini split heat pumps sold at Budget Heating. This kit is aimed at those systems: thread the adapter onto the unit's 5/16″ low-side port, connect the hose, press the button, and add refrigerant while watching the gauge.
Because R-32 is a single-component refrigerant, a top-off after a flare-leak repair or line-set correction doesn't create blend-fractionation concerns. The included gauge has no R-32 scale, so read it on the R-410A scale: R-410A references 130 psig suction / 429 psig discharge, while R-32 references 133 psig suction / 430 psig discharge.
Ideal for: Topping off R-32 ductless mini split heat pumps and air conditioners with a 5/16″ service port after leak repairs, line-set work, or minor charge corrections.
Need more capacity? Step up to the R-32 Low GWP Refrigerant 20.9 lb Jug for multi-zone or full system charges.
Charging guidelines and pressure references are general information only. Actual requirements depend on system design, line-set length, ambient conditions, and the amount of refrigerant lost. R-32 is an A2L refrigerant for use by qualified, EPA 608 certified HVAC/R technicians. Request free sizing assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which side of the mini split does the adapter go on?
Thread the adapter's 5/16″ female end onto the unit's low-side service port, then connect the kit's 1/4″ hose to the adapter's male end.
Can I buy the 5/16″ adapter separately?
Yes. The 5/16″ female to 1/4″ male mini split service port adapter is sold on its own if you need a spare for your hose set.
How do I know my mini split uses R-32?
Check the refrigerant type listed on the outdoor unit's data plate. Only use this kit if it says R-32. Never add R-32 to an R-410A, R-454B, R-22, or any other system.
Is one 28.2 oz can enough for my mini split?
It depends on how much refrigerant was lost and on line-set length. The can is sized for top-offs and partial charges; for larger charges, the 20.9 lb R-32 jug is more practical.
Should I fix the leak before recharging?
Yes. Locate and repair the leak first, often at a flare connection or the line set, before adding refrigerant. Budget Heating also carries ductless mini split copper line sets and kits for repairs.
Where can I find R-32 mini split systems?
Browse Budget Heating's ductless mini split systems, which include R-32 heat pump models for full replacements.
