Is the PCH-2 / SQRPCH101 the Right Adapter for Your Unit?
These adapters are sized by the unit's duct openings, not by cooling capacity alone. The PCH-2 fits Goodman horizontal package units with a 14" × 14" supply and a 14" wide × 22" tall return. On current Goodman spec sheets, that is the 2 ton and 2.5 ton small-chassis GPHH3 and R-32 GPCH3 models, such as the 2 ton Goodman GPHH32431 heat pump package unit and the 2.5 ton Goodman GPCH33031 package air conditioner.
Use the chart below to check your unit. Find the first part of your model number on the unit's rating plate. Letters or numbers after it (shown as **) are revision codes and don't change the fit. If your model isn't listed, measure the return opening on the back of the unit. 14" × 22" means PCH-2, and 14" × 24" means the next size up.

The set contains a matched supply and return adapter. The square flange of each one lines up with the unit's opening, and the round collar gives the flex duct a place to clamp. Crown PCH-2 collars measure 13⅞" to accept standard 14" flex. McDaniel SQRPCH101 collar sizes may differ, so confirm your flex diameter when ordering. We can supply a reducer or increaser collar for other flex sizes.

Why does a 3 ton GPHH3 need a different adapter than a 2.5 ton?
From 3 tons up, Goodman uses a medium or large cabinet with a taller 14" × 24" return opening on the GPHH3, GPHH5 and R-32 GPCH3. The PCH-2 return adapter is built for the shorter 14" × 22" opening, so those units use the PCH-3 / SQRPCH102/103.
What size flex duct connects to the PCH-2 adapters?
Crown PCH-2 adapters have 13⅞" round collars that accept standard 14" flexible duct on both supply and return. If your duct system uses another size, tell us when ordering and we can include a metal reducer or increaser collar.
Can the PCH-2 be used on a downflow roof-curb installation?
No. These adapters are for horizontal (side-discharge) installations. Downflow roof-curb installs use a separate downflow square-to-round accessory designed for the curb.
Is the adapter insulated to help prevent condensation?
Yes. The Crown PCH-2 is lined with 1" thick insulation inside the 26-gauge galvanized steel body. The liner helps reduce sweating and sound at the unit connection.
