It connects the 14" × 14" supply and 14" × 24" return on medium- and large-chassis GPHH3, GPHH5 and GPCH3 units to round flex duct. The Crown PCH-3 is 26-gauge galvanized steel lined with 1" insulation. It suits contractors and homeowners moving up from a small cabinet or replacing a larger horizontal package unit.
Is the PCH-3 / SQRPCH102-103 the Right Adapter for Your Unit?
The PCH-3 covers Goodman horizontal package units with a 14" × 14" supply and a 14" wide × 24" tall return. That includes the 3 ton Goodman GPHH33631 heat pump package unit and the 5 ton Goodman GPCH36031 two-stage package air conditioner. The supply opening is the same 14" × 14" size used on smaller units. Only the return grows, so the return adapter is what separates the PCH-3 from the PCH-2.
Use the chart below to check your unit. Find the first part of your model number on the unit's rating plate. Letters or numbers after it (shown as **) are revision codes and don't change the fit. Older R-410A GPCH3 units are the main exception: at 3 and 3.5 tons they have the shorter 14" × 22" return, so check that section of the chart carefully. If your model isn't listed, measure the return opening on the back of the unit. 14" × 24" means PCH-3, and 14" × 22" means PCH-2.

Larger units move more air, so a well-sealed return connection matters more on a 4 or 5 ton system. Check your existing duct sizes against the unit's airflow. A 5 ton system on a single 14" return may need a larger flex size or an increaser collar.

One supply adapter and one taller return adapter come as a set, sized for Goodman's medium and large horizontal cabinets. Goodman lists a single part number (SQRPCH102-103) for both chassis sizes because they share the same openings. On the Crown PCH-3, both collars measure 13⅞" for 14" flex. McDaniel SQRPCH102-103 collars may be sized differently, so confirm your flex diameter. Reducer and increaser collars are available.

How do I tell the PCH-3 apart from the PCH-2?
Measure the return opening. The PCH-3 return adapter is built for a 14" × 24" opening, while the PCH-2 fits a 14" × 22" opening. The supply adapters are the same size.
My older R-410A GPCH3 is 3 or 3.5 tons. Does it take the PCH-3?
Usually not. On the R-410A GPCH33641 (3 ton) and GPCH34241 (3.5 ton), Goodman used the shorter 14" × 22" return, which matches the PCH-2. Measure the return on your unit or call us with the full model number before ordering.
Should a 5 ton unit use larger flex than 14 inch?
That depends on your duct design and the unit's airflow. The Crown PCH-3 collars fit 14" flex. If your system calls for a larger supply or return, ask for a 14" to 16" or 14" to 18" metal increaser when you order.
Do the PCH-3 adapters come as a supply and return pair?
