Refrigerant Applications
The EK-053S is designed as a universal replacement liquid line filter drier for many common CFC, HCFC, and HFC refrigerants. Published applications include R-12, R-22, R-134a, R-404A, R-407C, R-410A, R-500, R-502, and R-507.

Installation
Install the EK-053S in the refrigerant liquid line with the flow arrow pointing in the direction of refrigerant flow. The 3/8" copper connections are designed for standard HVAC brazing or sweat installation.
Protect the filter drier from excessive brazing heat and purge the tubing with nitrogen during installation. After brazing, pressure-test the system, repair any detected leaks, evacuate the refrigerant circuit, and charge the equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
