Uniweld Centurion Series Acetylene Regulator for MC Tanks, CGA 200 Inlet, "A" Outlet, RMC100

The Uniweld RMC100 Centurion Series Acetylene Regulator is a compact, economical regulator built for the small MC acetylene cylinders HVAC/R techs, plumbers and maintenance crews carry every day. It has a CGA 200 cylinder inlet, an "A"-size left-hand outlet and an adjustable 2–15 PSI delivery range. A rugged brass body and 1.5" delivery and contents gauges with protective rubber boots let it handle life on the truck. Pair it with an oxygen regulator for an oxy-acetylene brazing setup, or use it on an air-acetylene torch that runs on acetylene alone.

Is the RMC100 the Right Regulator for Your Setup?

Match the regulator to your cylinder valve and torch hose. The RMC100's CGA 200 inlet is the connection used on MC-size (10 cu ft) acetylene cylinders, such as our 10 cubic foot acetylene cylinder. Its outlet is an "A"-size left-hand fitting, the smaller connection used on compact torch hoses. If your hoses have "B"-size fittings, Uniweld offers the same regulator as the RMC100B, or you can use an A-to-B adapter.

Delivery pressure adjusts from 2 to 15 PSI, which covers typical brazing and soldering on copper refrigerant lines and water piping. Acetylene should never be used above 15 PSI, and the RMC100's 30 PSI delivery gauge keeps that working range easy to read. The contents gauge shows at a glance how much acetylene is left in the tank.

Ideal for: HVAC/R service techs, refrigeration installers, plumbers and maintenance crews brazing copper line sets, sweating fittings and doing light repair work with MC acetylene tanks.

Need the whole outfit? See the Uniweld Torch Welding & Brazing Kit (no tanks), or keep your setup running with an acetylene refill tank exchange.

Always confirm your cylinder valve connection and hose fitting size before ordering. Use only with acetylene, and follow Uniweld's operating instructions. Request free product assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

Frequently Asked Questions

What acetylene tank does the Uniweld RMC100 fit?

The RMC100 has a CGA 200 inlet, the connection used on MC-size (10 cu ft) acetylene cylinders. Larger acetylene cylinders use a different valve connection and need a different regulator or adapter.

What is the difference between the RMC100 and RMC100B?

Both are Centurion acetylene regulators with a CGA 200 inlet and 2–15 PSI delivery. The RMC100 has an "A"-size left-hand outlet, and the RMC100B has a larger "B"-size left-hand outlet. Choose the one that matches your hose fittings.

What pressure should I set acetylene to for brazing?

Set pressure according to your torch tip manufacturer's chart. The RMC100 adjusts from 2 to 15 PSI. Never run acetylene above 15 PSI, which is why the delivery gauge tops out at 30 PSI for a clear reading in the safe range.

Why does the regulator have a left-hand thread outlet?

Fuel gas fittings use left-hand threads so they can't be mixed up with oxygen fittings, which use right-hand threads. The RMC100 connects to a red fuel hose with left-hand-threaded fittings.

How do I check the RMC100 for leaks after hooking it up?

Pressurize the system, close the cylinder valve and back the adjusting screw out one turn. If the contents gauge drops, check the cylinder connection. If the delivery gauge drops, check the hose, torch and fittings. Use a proper leak-test solution, and don't use the equipment until every leak is fixed.

Can I use this regulator with an air-acetylene torch?

Yes. Air-acetylene torches run on acetylene alone and draw oxygen from the surrounding air, so the RMC100 can supply them directly from an MC tank as long as the torch hose has an "A"-size left-hand fitting.
