The Daikin optional drain pan heater is available for colder climates with prolonged heating operation below the units
designed temperature of 5F and/or in areas where high humidity and icing conditions exist (typically between 17-34 F).
It is recommended to install the outdoor unit 2? above the average annual snow line to allow the water to drain properly
(height to be determined by installing contractor).
Please note, the heaters do not add capacity, but are intended to maintain the rated capacity by keeping the pan free
from ice during possible icing conditions.
This model is used with the RX/RXS09L & RX/RXS12L Single Zone Condensers.
