Emkarate RL32-3MAFis a fully formulated synthetic polyol ester (POE) refrigeration lubricant approved for use in select Copeland compressor applications. This listing is intended for compatible R410A systems where the compressor manufacturer specifies RL32-3MAF, 32-3MAF, or an explicitly approved equivalent.

The 3MAF designation identifies the Copeland-specific formulation. Its 150 SUS viscosity grade provides the lubrication, oil return, thermal stability, and chemical stability required by compatible air-conditioning and refrigeration compressors operating with HFC refrigerants.

Common Applications

  • Select Copeland R410A compressors
  • Select hermetic and semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors
  • Select Copeland scroll compressor applications
  • Compressor service and repair requiring RL32-3MAF POE oil
  • Replacement of oil lost during compressor or refrigeration-system service

Product Features

  • Fully formulated synthetic polyol ester refrigeration lubricant
  • Copeland-approved RL32-3MAF formulation
  • Designed for compatible HFC refrigerant applications, including select R410A systems
  • Provides strong thermal and chemical stability
  • Promotes proper oil circulation and return in correctly designed systems
  • Compatible with a wide range of refrigeration-system elastomers and construction materials
  • Available in multiple selectable ounce quantities

Confirm the Correct Oil Before Ordering

RL32-3MAF is not a universal compressor oil.The refrigerant type alone does not determine the correct lubricant. Different Copeland compressors may require different POE formulations, viscosity grades, or additive packages.

Before ordering, confirm all of the following:

  • Complete compressor model number
  • Refrigerant used in the system
  • Required lubricant formulation and viscosity
  • Manufacturer-specified oil charge
  • Whether additional oil is actually required

Do not substitute another 32-grade POE lubricant solely because the viscosity appears similar. Mixing different approved and unapproved lubricant formulations can affect additive concentration and lubricant performance.

POE Oil Handling and Storage

Polyol ester oil is hygroscopic, meaning it readily absorbs moisture from the surrounding air. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use and minimize the amount of time the oil is exposed to the atmosphere.

  • Use clean, dry refrigeration service equipment
  • Avoid introducing moisture, dirt, refrigerant residue, or other oils
  • Keep unused oil tightly sealed
  • Do not return dispensed oil to the original container
  • Store the oil in a clean, dry location

Professional Installation Required

Compressor oil should only be added, removed, or replaced by a qualified HVAC or refrigeration technician. Adding too much oil, using an incorrect lubricant, or failing to correct the cause of oil loss can result in poor system performance or compressor damage.

Important:Budget Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. is not responsible for compressor or system damage caused by selecting an incorrect lubricant, introducing contaminated oil, or adding an improper oil quantity. Always follow the compressor manufacturer's current service instructions.
