It carries the 61-size coil on a 35 in. tall, 21 in. wide casing, holds the full 1500 to 2500 CFM airflow rating, and measures 82.6 MBH gross at 2000 CFM. Everything else follows the W5AM standard: factory-installed R-454B TXV, 7/8 in. suction and 3/8 in. liquid connections, dual sloped FRTP drain pans, factory UV knockouts and the complete A2L leak dissipation system.
Is a 5 Ton Cased Coil the Right Size?
The load side of this decision is the same as any 5 ton system — roughly 2,600 to 3,500 sq. ft. of residential space, or a light commercial suite on a split system. What makes the 6121 a distinct product is the fit. A 21 in. casing is 3-1/2 in. narrower than the standard 5 ton coil, which is often the difference between a coil that goes into an existing closet and one that means framing work.
That narrower face does come with a tradeoff: less coil area presented to the airstream means higher air-side pressure drop than a 24-1/2 in. coil at the same CFM. When the system is designed for 2500 CFM, that matters. Read the static pressure drop table for size 6121 against the blower's published performance before committing, and verify the AHRI-certified pairing with your outdoor unit. Where the width is genuinely available, the wider coil is the easier system to move air through.

Yes. The W5AM61M21XA is a nominal 5 ton coil in a 21 in. wide, 35 in. tall casing. It is the narrowest 5 ton option in the W5AM line, built specifically for spaces that cannot accept 24-1/2 in.
How does it compare with the 24-1/2 in. 5 ton coils?
Capacity and airflow rating are effectively the same. The narrower coil face means higher air-side pressure drop at a given CFM, and the cabinet weighs about 3 lb less. Choose the wider coil when the space allows it.
What is the height of the 6121 cabinet?
35 in. tall, the same as both 24-1/2 in. five-ton coils, shipping in a 35.8 in. carton. The width is what changes, not the height, so vertical clearance still has to be checked.
What line sizes does the W5AM61M21XA use?
