The Parker SLD-13-5SV-HH Gold Label Suction Line Filter Drier provides high-capacity cleanup for air-conditioning and refrigeration systems affected by moisture, acids and solid contaminants.
Its molded porous core captures and holds contaminants while maintaining low refrigerant pressure drop. The high-acid-capacity design makes this filter drier particularly useful following a compressor motor burnout or when servicing a severely contaminated refrigerant system.
The compact, large-diameter shell provides a substantial 27-square-inch filtration area while requiring only a 4-inch system cutout. Two built-in access fittings allow technicians to measure inlet and outlet pressures and monitor pressure drop across the filter drier during cleanup.
The SLD-13-5SV-HH includes 5/8-inch ODF solder connections, a 14-cubic-inch desiccant core and a corrosion-resistant shell designed to withstand 500 hours of salt-spray exposure. Parker specifically describes the SLD Series as a suction-line cleanup drier for removing acids and contaminants following motor burnout.

Installation Note
Install in the suction line with refrigerant flowing in the direction marked on the shell. Protect the body from excessive brazing heat. The two access fittings may be used to monitor pressure drop and determine when the filter drier requires replacement.
