The smaller compressor and 3.3 pound charge simply cannot maintain proper oil return and pressure drop over longer runs. Pre-charged length is 98.4 feet; beyond that add 0.22 oz of R-32 per additional foot.
Can I add a third zone to this condenser later?
No. This is a two-port outdoor unit and cannot be expanded. If a third zone is even a possibility down the road, buy the three-port 3MXM24AVJU9 now and leave one port capped — replacing the condenser later costs far more than the difference today.
