Mini Split 24,000 BTU Gree Livo 19 SEER2 Heat Pump System LIV24HP230V1R32AO, LIV24HP230V1R32AH

The two ton LIV24HP230V1R32AO and LIV24HP230V1R32AH pairing is the model that unlocks long-run installations. Where the smaller Livo R32 systems cap out at 66 or 82 feet of line set, this one allows up to 131 feet of pipe and 82 feet of vertical separation, so the condenser can sit at grade while the head serves an upper floor, or tuck around the far side of a building out of sight. It is rated 22,000 BTU/h cooling at 95°F and 24,000 BTU/h heating at 47°F at 19 SEER2 and 11.9 EER2, with 15,300 BTU/h of heat still available at 17°F. A wireless LCD remote is included and Wi-Fi is standard.

Where Two Tons of Ductless Capacity Fits

At this size the conversation shifts from rooms to zones. Two tons will carry an entire small home, a large open commercial bay, a warehouse office, or a top floor that the existing ducted system never quite reached. The 412 to 677 CFM airflow range and 5.28 pints per hour of moisture removal give it the throw and latent capacity to handle spaces where a smaller head would simply run flat out and still lose ground on humid afternoons.

Sizing at two tons deserves genuine care, because oversizing carries a real penalty: a system that satisfies the thermostat too quickly never runs long enough to wring moisture out of the air, leaving a space that is cold and clammy rather than comfortable. Insulation, air infiltration, glazing area and orientation, ceiling height, roof exposure, ventilation requirements, and occupancy all belong in the calculation. Electrically the unit needs a two-pole 208-230V circuit with a 15 A minimum circuit ampacity and a 15 A suggested breaker.

Ideal for: Small whole homes, large great rooms, second-floor retrofits, warehouse and shop offices, commercial bays, community rooms, and installations where the outdoor unit must sit well away from or well below the indoor head.

Need more capacity? Step up to the 30,000 BTU Gree Livo 22 SEER2 Heat Pump System, which is also the most efficient large system in the series.

Recommended applications are general guidelines only. Actual system requirements depend on insulation, room layout and air distribution, glazing, ceiling height, ambient conditions, ventilation, occupancy, and internal heat gain. AHRI certification 214779349 covers this pairing. The 93.7 lb condenser carries a 42.3 oz R-32 charge good for 25 feet, and additional charge is only 0.1 oz per foot — the lowest rate in the series, which keeps long runs manageable. Flare connections are 1/4 inch liquid and 1/2 inch gas. The indoor cabinet measures 42-7/16 x 13-7/64 x 9-11/16 in. at 33.1 lb net. Wi-Fi is included and the optional XE71 wired controller interface is available for fixed wall control.

Specifications & Manuals

Long-run installations should be planned against the submittal's piping and charge tables before ordering material. This capacity uses a 1/4" and 1/2" insulated copper line set, available in lengths up to 100 feet on our ductless copper lines and kits page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is rated cooling 22,000 BTU/h when the model is called 24,000 BTU?

The 24,000 figure reflects the nominal two ton class and the system's heating capacity at 47°F, which is 24,000 BTU/h. Rated cooling capacity at the 95°F test condition is 22,000 BTU/h, with the inverter able to reach 26,200 BTU/h at the top of its range. Size against the 22,000 figure for cooling loads.

What makes this model better for long line runs than the 18,000 BTU version?

Two things. Maximum pipe length jumps from 82 feet to 131 feet and maximum elevation difference from 33 feet to 82 feet. The additional charge rate also drops to 0.1 oz per foot, half that of the smaller models, so a 100 foot run needs comparatively little extra refrigerant.

Can two tons of ductless capacity heat and cool a small house?

A compact, well-insulated, open-plan home can work on a single two ton head, but the limitation is distribution rather than capacity — closed bedrooms will not track the main space. Most small-home projects use one larger head for the living area plus smaller systems for bedrooms. Our single-zone mini split selector helps compare combinations.

How much does the outdoor unit weigh and does that change the mounting plan?

The condenser is 93.7 lb net, which is well beyond a one-person lift and heavy enough that ground pads should be level and properly bedded. Wall-mounting at this weight requires a bracket rated accordingly — verify the load rating before selecting hardware from our condenser pads, wall mounts and tie downs selection.

Will this system dehumidify well in a coastal or Gulf climate?

Its 5.28 pints per hour dehumidification rating is substantial, and the variable-speed compressor helps by running longer at lower output, which is exactly the behavior that removes moisture. The dedicated dry mode adds further control. The blue-fin coil coating, salt-spray tested to 500 hours, is also relevant for salt-air installations.

Is a disconnect required at the outdoor unit?

Most jurisdictions require a service disconnect within sight of the outdoor unit, and the submittal directs that main power wire be sized per local code. Interconnecting wiring between the units is 14 AWG, 4 conductor. Confirm requirements with your local authority having jurisdiction before rough-in.
