Is a 12,000 BTU PTAC Heat Pump the Right Size?
The PTH123J35AXXX covers rooms that are too large for a 9,000 BTU unit but don't need suite-level capacity. Its heat pump output of 11,000 BTU/h at 230V handles most of the heating season efficiently, and 330 CFM of airflow spreads conditioned air through longer rooms.
In colder regions the backup strip will run more often, so consider your winter design temperature as well as summer heat gain. Large windows, exterior corner walls, and heavy occupancy all push the load higher.
