The HS Series steam humidifiers have a proprietary ?auto-adaptive? routine that helps maximize steam output from the water it uses. Very little water is wasted compared to evaporative humidifiers where all water that enters the humidifier and doesn?t enter the air is wasted. The HS Series humidifiers do not rely on the temperature or flow rate of the air leaving the furnace to deliver the right amount of humidity to the home.
