The EcoTemp FMA5X3000AL is a 2 1/2-ton wall-mounted apartment/condominium style air handler engineered for multifamily housing, condos, and space-restricted residential applications. Often installed in a closet above a water heater. Designed for vertical upflow airflow installation, this compact fan coil delivers dependable comfort while fitting easily between standard wall framing.

Featuring a high-efficiency 5 speed ECM blower motor, the unit provides quieter operation, improved airflow consistency, and enhanced energy performance compared to traditional PSC air handlers. The factory-installed TXV metering device and all-aluminum evaporator coil help maximize system efficiency and long-term durability.

Built specifically for A2L R-454B refrigerant systems, the FMA5X3000AL supports modern low-GWP HVAC installations while maintaining reliable cooling performance. The fully insulated cabinet reduces cabinet sweating and noise while improving overall system comfort. Includes factory-installed refrigerant leak dissipation systems that meet new UL requirements and to show our commitment to safety.

Optional field-installed electric heat kits allow this air handler to provide auxiliary heating for year-round comfort.

 This unit CAN be converted to bottom return! Must be installed vertically in an up-flow application ONLY. 

EcoTemp apartment style central air conditioning systems can be registered in a commercial environment to the original owner and receive a 10 year all parts warranty! This is the best warranty in the industry for apartment style systems, most other brands are 5 years only!
