The Rheem Commercial Split Classic® Series Heat Pump system is a high-performance climate control solution comprised of the RPCY outdoor remote condensing units and the matching RHCYP indoor air handlers. Available in nominal sizes of 7.5 and 10 tons, the system delivers cooling capacities ranging from 90.0k Btu/h to 120.0k Btu/h to handle demanding commercial applications. Engineered with environmental sustainability in mind, the split system fully utilizes R-454B refrigerant, which complies with stringent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations by offering a low global warming potential (GWP) that reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 78% compared to previous-generation R-410A refrigerants.
Designed for optimal operation, efficiency, and flexibility, the split system features a single two-stage scroll compressor that helps achieve cooling efficiencies of up to 11.0 EER and 14.1 IEER. By installing the quiet remote heat pump unit outdoors, compressor and fan noises are kept away from the building's interior, while the indoor air handler can be discreetly installed in a drop ceiling or conditioned space without necessitating a separate equipment room. Furthermore, installation and transport through confined layout spaces are simplified via a patent-pending separable cabinet design, which is complemented by convertible airflow configurations that easily accommodate either vertical upflow or horizontal sideflow requirements.
