Rated at 18 SEER2 on R454B refrigerant and supplied with a wireless remote, it conditions large open living areas from a single high-output head — including a strong 26,000 BTU/h of heating at 47°F — as the top of the entry-level WX line.
Is 24,000 BTU the Right Size?
Two tons is a big single-zone step and the largest system in the WX line. As a general guideline it suits open areas of roughly 1,000 to 1,400 square feet, providing 22,400 BTU/h of cooling and 26,000 BTU/h of heating at 47°F — enough to supplement or replace electric heat in a great room.
Because it pushes a lot of output through one head, airflow reach matters. Open sight lines to the far corners give the best result; long or partitioned layouts distribute two tons less evenly.
Ideal for: open great rooms, large basements, combined living-dining areas, and light-commercial spaces that need two-ton comfort on a budget.
