Compact Liquid Line Protection with a 1/4" SAE Flare Nut Connection
The Sporlan C-052-F Catch-All Liquid Line Filter Drier provides moisture, acid, and contaminant protection for air-conditioning and refrigeration systems requiring a 1/4" SAE flare-nut connection. Its 5 cubic inch molded porous core helps protect compressors, metering devices, capillary tubes, and other refrigerant-system components from harmful contamination.
Designed for Moisture, Acid, and Contaminant Removal
The C-052-F uses Sporlan’s molded porous Catch-All core to absorb and retain moisture and acids within the desiccant material. It also filters scale, solder particles, carbon, sludge, dirt, and other foreign matter while maintaining minimal refrigerant pressure drop.
Ideal for: Smaller air-conditioning and refrigeration liquid-line applications requiring a compact 5 cubic inch filter drier with a 1/4" SAE flare-nut connection.
Connection note: Verify the connection arrangement on the existing filter drier before ordering. The C-052-F is different from standard solder-connection and male-flare C-050 Series models.

Refrigerant Applications
The C-052-F is designed for use with commercially available HCFC and HFC refrigerant and lubricant combinations when properly selected for the application.
Refrigerant compatibility and system capacity depend on the refrigerant, operating conditions, liquid temperature, and allowable pressure drop. Confirm the connection type and proper filter drier selection before installation.
Installation
Install the C-052-F in the refrigerant liquid line with the flow arrow pointing in the direction of refrigerant flow. Inspect the flare and sealing surfaces before installation and tighten the connection using accepted refrigeration practices.
After installation, pressure-test the system, repair any detected leaks, evacuate the refrigerant circuit, and charge the equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Filter drier selection, refrigerant handling, leak testing, evacuation, and system charging should be completed by a qualified HVAC or refrigeration technician.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size connection does the Sporlan C-052-F use?
The C-052-F is designed with a 1/4" SAE flare-nut connection configuration. Verify the fitting arrangement on the existing system before ordering.
What does the F mean in C-052-F?
