The Copeland EK-083S Liquid Line Filter Drier provides dependable moisture, acid and contaminant protection for air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Its premium compacted-bead desiccant blend is optimized for high water and acid-removal capacity. A 20-micron outlet pad captures fine solid contaminants before they can continue circulating through the refrigerant system and damage the compressor, metering device or other sensitive components.
The EK-083S features solid copper 3/8-inch ODF solder connections and a shock-resistant steel shell with a corrosion-resistant epoxy powder-coated finish. Its compact design makes it suitable for new installations, service replacements and general refrigeration-system repairs.
Copeland lists the EK Series as a universal replacement for common CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants, including R-12, R-134a, R-22, R-404A, R-407C, R-410A, R-500, R-502 and R-507. It is also approved for use with POE oils in Copeland compressor applications.

Installation Note
Install in the liquid line with refrigerant flowing in the direction indicated by the arrow on the shell. Protect the filter drier from excessive brazing heat and complete installation according to accepted refrigeration practices.
