This is the appropriate size wire to install your mini split system. 14 gauge is thick enough to allow the power and communication lines to function properly for single & multi-zone applications. Common 18/8 thermostat wire will NOT work properly and may result in issues later. Stranded copper is also recommended for mini split installs versus solid.
