Mini Split R-410A Recharge Kit — 28.2 oz One-Step Can with Gauge, Hose & 5/16″-to-1/4″ Service Port Adapter
Recharging an R-410A ductless mini split takes one part most hose kits leave out: an adapter for the unit's 5/16″ service port. This kit includes it, along with a 28.2 oz (1.8 lb) disposable one-step can of R-410A and a reusable gauge on a hose with a 1/4″ female fitting. Thread the adapter onto the port, connect the hose, press the button, and top off the system on the first trip. It's straight R-410A with no sealant or dye. If the unit has a small leak you'd rather seal while you charge, see the mini split R-410A leak stop kit.
Is the Mini Split Recharge Kit the Right Fit?
Choose this kit when a ductless R-410A heat pump or air conditioner needs a small amount of refrigerant, such as after a flare is remade, a line set is corrected, or a leak is repaired. The 28.2 oz can is sized for top-offs and minor charge adjustments, not full system charges.
Because the adapter is already in the box, the same kit works on both kinds of systems. On a mini split, thread the adapter onto the 5/16″ port. On a ducted system with a 1/4″ port, leave the adapter off and connect the hose directly. The gauge stays with you for the next can.
Ideal for: R-410A ductless mini split heat pumps and air conditioners with a 5/16″ service port that need a top-off after service or repair.
Need more capacity? Step up to the R-410A 25 lb Jug, Factory Sealed for multi-zone systems or full charges after a line-set replacement.
Charging amounts are general guidelines only. Actual requirements depend on system size, line-set length, ambient conditions, and the amount of refrigerant lost. For use by qualified HVAC/R technicians. Request free sizing assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why won't a standard hose fit my mini split?
Ductless mini splits use a 5/16″ service port, while charging hoses end in a 1/4″ fitting. The included 5/16″ female to 1/4″ male adapter connects the two.
Does this kit contain any leak sealer?
No. This is straight R-410A. If the system has a small leak, the mini split leak stop kit adds polymer-free sealant and UV dye.
Can I buy just a replacement can for this kit?
Yes. The R-410A 28.2 oz can-only refill works with the gauge, hose, and adapter you already have.
Will this work on my R-454B or R-32 mini split?
No. Only add R-410A to systems rated for R-410A. For newer units, use the R-454B mini split kit or the R-32 mini split kit.
Is one can enough to fully charge a mini split?
Usually not. The 28.2 oz can is meant for top-offs and minor adjustments. Check the unit's nameplate charge and line-set length; larger charges call for a 25 lb jug.
Do you sell R-410A mini split systems?
Yes. Browse Budget Heating's ductless mini split systems if the unit needs replacement rather than recharge.
