The EcoTemp wall mount central air SEER2 models W4A5S/FMA4X are built and designed to stand the test of time. EcoTemp apartment style central air conditioning systems can be registered in a commercial environment to the original owner and receive a 10 year all parts warranty! This is the best warranty in the industry for apartment style systems, most other brands are 5 years only! Also features a 1 year quality pledge warranty if an outdoor coil or compressor were to fail in the first year.
The air handler is designed to be installed in a multi-family apartment style housing environment (apartments, condominiums, town homes, etc...). The FMA4X wall mount air handler is a wall hung unit that fits in a closet above a water heater in most applications and has a louvered door or a return air grill through the wall to allow front or bottom return airflow. This unit CAN be converted to bottom return! Must be installed vertically in an up-flow application ONLY. Unit fits between standard stud spacing.
EcoTemp is built by International Comfort Products (ICP) which is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) which produces Sikorsky helicopters, Carrier Brand Equipment and Aerospace systems; both companies do not compromise on quality. The central air EcoTemp outdoor condensers feature Copper tube/aluminum fin condenser with industry leading scroll compressors and TX valve metering device. The FMA4X air handler features copper tubing, aluminum fin coil has a less than 2% leak rate and include an energy efficient and reliable ECM blower motor! The condenser cabinet is pre-painted over galvanized steel. The EcoTemp W4A series were intentionally engineered to be a compact design for narrow lots and ease of installation, allowing easy access with only 2 screws to access the control panel.
